At Furnishing Hope, Inc., we focus on transforming empty spaces into warm environments by providing essential home goods and furnishings to families and communities in need in Colorado. Our mission emphasizes furnishing homes with dignity, empathy, sustainability, and thoughtful design to restore hope and inspire renewed promise in those facing challenging circumstances. Our organization aims to foster relationships and collaborations within the Colorado design community, local businesses, partner organizations, and volunteers to help families prosper and succeed in their new spaces.

Meet the Team

  • Kimie Kreidle

    Founder

    With 35 years of experience as a residential and commercial Interior Designer in Colorado, Kimie Kreidle recently retired to pursue her lifelong goal of giving back to the community. She founded Furnishing Hope, Inc. to transform empty spaces into warm, welcoming homes for families and individuals in need. Kimie earned her Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College in 1985 and attended the Interior Design Internship in Denver. As the sole proprietor of Mia Design for over 30 years, she collaborated with her co-founder, Mary Ann Hall, on numerous projects. Now, through Furnishing Hope, Kimie is dedicated to creating environments that foster stability and security for those transitioning into new spaces.

  • Mary Ann Hall

    Founder

    Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, Mary Ann Hall began her career in healthcare after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University. She moved to Colorado in 1975 and became a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, working on a flight team transporting critically ill newborns from eight states to Denver. Later, Mary Ann transitioned into interior design, remodeling lofts in LoDo and log cabins in the Colorado mountains. Her work, featured in various magazines, led to design projects across the U.S. Combining her healthcare and design experience, she has also helped clients downsize and age in place. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Mary Ann has hiked Colorado’s 14ers, summited Mt. Kilimanjaro at 69, and biked mountain passes both locally and internationally. Now living in Cherry Creek, she is dedicated to giving back through her work with Furnishing Hope. 

  • Sadie Armijo

    Chief Operations Officer

    Sadie Armijo is a 4th generation Denverite, that has a passion for helping others that started at a young age. She volunteered for underfunded elementary schools in the Denver metro area while in high school, she went to UCCS and majored in Human services with an emphasis in Addiction Counseling, during her schooling she worked with college aged students that had mental disabilities, giving them a sense of independence and foster individual growth. She hopes to give back to her Colorado community, she believes that even in challenging times, a little support can make a big difference. She enjoys hiking, reading, painting, and spending time with loved ones and her puppy.

  • Emily McGowan

    Digital Marketing + Communications Specialist

    Emily McGowan is the Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist at Furnishing Hope Inc., where she focuses on building the organization’s website, managing digital marketing efforts, and handling communications. With a degree in Communication and Global Studies and a background as a Marketing and Communication Director for a nonprofit, Emily applies her experience to support the organization’s goals. Originally from Boulder and now living in Denver, Emily is passionate about helping Colorado’s local communities. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. 

  • Xenia Johns

    Creative Alchemist + Hype Person

    Xenia is a ‘see a need, fill a need’ kind of person. With 40 years of experience in the advertising world on both coasts, she’s channeled her expertise into her own branding and marketing business, x designs, and now shares her creativity as an elementary school guest teacher. Xenia is our resident hopeful, creative, designer, wordsmith, hugger, hand-holder, brander, and self-proclaimed hype person. She passionately believes furnishing hope is not just who we are - it’s what we do—reaching out to those facing challenges in our Colorado community with empathy and dignity and creating a safe and welcoming space where they can thrive.
